Watch the Test!

Do you know what equipment is involved when you vote? Can you trust it? Can it be hacked? Can your vote be changed?

Here’s the perfect way to get your questions answered: Watch the test!

Every county holds, by a law, a public test of its machines a number of weeks before each election. Anyone may attend. You can look at the machines (but probably not touch them.) You can ask questions. You’ll have plenty of one-on-one time with the county clerk running the test because you will probably be the only person there.

Yup. Even though the tests are meant for our benefit, even though these tests could help strengthen your confidence in our elections, no one shows up.

Don’t take those wild conspiracy claims at face value. Instead, find your county election website. Look for the date of the public test.

Go. Watch. Ask questions.

The Big Pivot

About Me

After twenty-five years on the farm, I’m adjusting to the adventures of city life. Part of that adjustment is figuring out what I want to write about now, since sheep are no longer part of my daily life. I’m challenging myself creatively by painting with pastels and playing the ukelele as I seek my new writing path.
